Aztec Mythology (Portfolio)

Aztec Deities is a book series over Aztec mythology and the aztec gods. The folios have a minimal design and get more expressive as the series progresses. A reoccurring theme throughout the series is illustrative designs based on the aztec calendar. The color palette is a reference to the colors used in Aztec art, the cream represents the stone carvings, red represents power and royalty, green represents the earth and the final book is blue as an inverted color palette because of the controversial contents. The last book uses a deconstructed grid and is meant to showcase the deconstruction of the calendar.
